Sleep Deprivation Causes Injuries At Sports

Injuries At Sports
Less time to sleep trigger injury during exercise. It was the result of a study presented at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans recently.

To prove this, the researchers interviewed 160 adolescent athletes. Found amount of sleep each night, is significantly associated with reduced likelihood of injury. In addition, the mature age athletes, apparently the higher the likelihood of injury.

"Many other studies have shown that sleep deprivation can affect cognitive and motor abilities, no one has ever seen this in the context of adolescent athletes," said researcher Matthew Milewski, MD.

If you intend to exercise, it's good to be balanced with adequate sleep to avoid injury.
