Alert! Make-up Can Accelerate Menopause 15 Years

make-up before traveling

Women often make-up before traveling. In fact in some cases the chemicals contained in the make-up could prompt early menopause.
According to the study, high doses of chemicals found in make-up, hairspray, and food packaging could lead to women experiencing menopause 15 years earlier.
Concerns about the risk of pthalates is already widespread. Pthalates is a group of chemicals found in plastics, cosmetics, and household products and food packaging.

Previous studies show that the chemicals could increase the risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, and there is even evidence could make young men as women. Now, U.S. researchers say the chemicals can disrupt female reproductive system, including the ovaries and cause early menopause.
Dr Natalia Grindler, of Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, and colleagues surveyed pthalates levels in the blood or urine than 5,700 women. Those with the highest content of menopause on average 2.3 years earlier before the other. The typical age of menopause is 51 years, so that women exposed to chemical exposure was experienced menopause at the age of 49 years.
Dr Grindler the Conference of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine in San Diego, California, said that some women may experience menopause 15 years earlier, in the mid-thirties.
Early menopause is associated with increased stroke, heart disease, bone problems, and a fatal brain hemorrhage.
"We do not know whether some of them will go through it a few years earlier or 15 years going through it before," he said as quoted by page Dailymail, Wednesday (24/10).
"Early menopause have much impact on your health. We really think these chemicals are potentially affect ovarian function and human reproduction," he added.
He could not explain why a woman's exposure to chemicals with high levels. The possibility can be of use make-up, drinking water bottles, or eating food packaging.
Experts in the UK respond to the findings. They asked Kailan not worry.
"I do not really worry at this stage. Exposure to phthalates everywhere and impossible to avoid it altogether," said Professor Richard Sharp of the University of Edinburgh.
Although difficult to avoid, he has tips to prevent it. "Eat fresh foods, not the packaging could reduce phthalate exposure but will not eliminate them," he concluded.
